The  Lodsworth  &  District  Garden  Club was established in 1958 by a handful of local gardeners who wanted to organise lectures and hold an annual Flower Show, with Christopher Lloyd opening the very first one. Parameters have broadened with the passing of time and our club has grown to a membership of more than 70 families.

Over the years the Lodsworth  &  District  Garden  Club  have organised trips to some wonderful gardens including Great Dixter, Mottisfont and Highgrove. We have invited a wide variety of knowledgeable speakers, including some from radio and television, including Marina Christopher, Ben Pope, Tom Brown, Rosemary Alexander, Andy McIndoe and Ben Law. We involve top RHS judges in our Flower and Produce Show such as Doris Smallwood and Barry Newman. Garden Club members have been instrumental in enhancing the appearance of our local facilities such as landscaping at The Lodsworth Village Hall and installing planted containers outside our village shop, The Lodsworth Larder.

The Lodsworth  &  District  Garden  Club’s  activities over the year include visits to inspiring gardens near and far, illustrated talks at the village hall, plant sales in the spring on the green and in early summer at the fete, workshops and of course our annual summer Flower and Produce Show. Please see the interactive page listing this year’s calendar of events.
